Unlocking your computer without the aid of a password reset disk can be done by accessing the default Administrator account from Safe Mode and unlocking your computer via console commands. This can generally be done in minutes.

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Press "F8" as the computer is booting and select "Safe Mode."
  3. Click on the "Administrator" account.
  4. Select "Start" and click "Run."
  5. Type "control userpasswords2" and press "Enter."
  6. Uncheck "Users must enter a username and password" and restart the computer. It will be unlocked.

Last time after locked by my pc, I searched the ways to unlock. At first I don't want to use any tools to help me so I tried safe mode, but unfortunately failed. After comparing and trying I decided to use reset software to unlock. So I chose the popular software in Google, Windows Password Killer, which is really helpful. You can download For Windows admin password reset I will choose reset software, like Windows Login Recovery with a blank DVD/CD or formatted USB drive to create a reset disk. Then with the reset disk you can insert it in your computer. More details from: http://www.windowsloginrecovery.com

This trick doesn't work on my Windows 8 computer. At last I unlocked my forgotten admin password using PCUnlocker Live CD, which can be downloaded from http://www.top-password.com

Good post! What if you forgot Windows admin password and have no password reset disk? I have ever come across trouble. At first I didn't know how to unlock computer password until my friend recommended me Windows Password Recovery Tool. It is really helpful! http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com
